What are the factors for gaining or losing fans?

I keep gaining the losing fans I'm wondering what factors I need to take into account in order to grow my fan base and not keep losing them.

Two things affect the number of supporters:

Your club's results in league matches. The more league matches you win, the more supporters you'll get.
The average age of your players. People love supporting a young team with a promising future.

The number of supporters are updated every night.

I've won so many games this season. Got promoted and yet my fans haven't moved. I've lowered the age of my squad from the 30s and invested in late 20s players.
I guess I'll see over the next season when I play in a higher league

The difference between players in their early 30's against those in their late 20's won't make much difference for these purposes.

& yes, playing in the next Division up will make a substantial difference, - presuming you can keep on winning your matches of course

I highly doubt I'll win much in the division above. Its a big difference.

Only thing I can hope is to maintain the 1500 fans I have and gain some extra revenue from ticket sales to invest in younger players.

Are we talking 22-26 year olds.?

No specific age that I know of.

Do cup runs also help with growing fan base? This week has been okay I've gained 400 fans just through promotion
