What instructions do the best players use in terms of shoot on site/counter attack etc?

Shoot on site, Relaxed tempo and Fair tackling for my senior team but im not arsed about winning games at the moment
Youth team Shoot on site, increased tempo and Hard tacking, trying to stay in the top league.

If you're the better team and you want to win then shoot on site and increased tempo. If you're the weaker team and you don't want to lose then long ball and increased tempo.
If I wanted to push for a title or a cup then I'd have both tactics set up and adjust which one to use according to whether I'm home or away and whether I had a realistic shot of winning or not. Against closest rivals, I'd up the tempo to match of the season and be prepared to pay to boost the players' energy afterwards.
My teams are playing on relaxed at the moment because I want to preserve their energy for training but I have used the above to do a league and cup double.
