So Another Season begins with re-formed All-Ireland clear favourites to take this Seasons SCO Div 5, Group 8.
All-Ireland are no strangers having competed in it’s Sister League SCO Div 5, Grp 7 winning it twice, so we thought we would look and see who the most successful clubs over the last year in these 2 Sister Leagues.

Exciting I know I’m glad I’ve tucked my shirt in!!

We must start with the best, mighty Aabyhøj IF. They have won 3 titles in Div 5 Grp 8 and another 6 in Div 5 group 7, an incredible 9 titles in total the last of which coming in 23-27.
They also got promoted a further 2 times as Runners-up and currently still play in the parent Div 4 Grp 4.

Former 6 times champions Talentfabrikken FC Folded in 23-27 just four seasons after their last title, making a brief comeback in Spain before closing down again.

The most successful of the bots also with 6 titles each are split between the two Groups, Ardtarig recently relegated into group 7 last winning in 23-41 and one silver medal to boot.
Filling in Group 8 is Ninemile Bar Town along with their 6 titles they have also notched up 9 Second place promotions as well as finishing third 6 times.

Top seeds in both Groups are bots. Group 8 Tulliebelton have 2 Championships, 2 Runners-up & 4 third places incredibly inside of 13 years the club has been active.
Whereas in Group 7 have only a runners-up medal but one it in there first season before being relegated back down.

Most Titles in Division 5 Group 7&8 in 2023

1. 9 titles Aabyhøj IF (Human)
2. 6 titles Ninemilebar Town
3. 6 titles Ardtarig
4. 6 titles Talentfabrikken FC
5. 4 titles Diddys All Stars (Human)
6. 3 titles Caulrig Athletic
7. 3 titles Tonks United (Human)
8. 3 titles Ayr Zulu FC (Human)
9. 3 titles Minstrel City (Human)

Twelve different clubs have managed 2 titles each; the same amount All-Ireland did in 2021, including Group 8 colleagues Tulliebenton, Gogar & Kintessack Rangers.

And an honourable mention goes to Group 8’s Johnstone Rovers with only one title to their name the perennial bridesmaid have finished second 6 times and third 7 times.

So with more effort put into this press-release than is needed this season the question is how many titles can All-Ireland notch up before the year is out? Can they become more successful than these teams within 2 Sister Groups on the bottom wrung of Scottish Football?

Whatever happened to Division 9-6 I might aswell put my medals in with Brian Clough’s Leeds players!!
