Club Update

Written 7 November 2022, 20:49

I've sold most of the senior side today. This is something I had been considering for a few weeks now. It is my intention to take a short break from the competition of VM, though I do intend to be back sooner rather than later.

Firstly, I want to thank those who follow my progress for doing so. As I say, I intend to be back at it soon. I need to take the space to just give myself time to gather my thoughts about my future direction in VM.

I have maintained my Finnish Project for the better part of a decade. Ten years. In that time, clubs and friends have come and gone and still my Finnish Project rumbled on. It has taken some patience and dedication and we've been through highs and lows. I'm the first to admit it's not the easiest way to play this game and I'll always give respect to anyone trying it for any length of time. I'm personally proud of what I've managed to do with this club in this manner.

I'm going to take time to reflect on what I've achieved and what direction I want to take in the future. Part of me wants to reinvent my club, including a name change and change away from the one nation approach. But part of me is very attached to what I've done with the Finnish Project. It will not be easy for me personally to change how I play and approach this game, having played the way I have for so long.

I'll issue another release in a few days about my Finnish adventure.

I intend to be back. One way or another. And I don't imagine it'll be too long.
All the best to all,
Russell.
