Kian Doogan Jr, son of Trufflers' greatest ever player, has resigned for the club

The centre forward signed on the weekend for a reported fee of 977,000 credits, and has wasted no time settling in bagging 8 goals in his first 17 games for the club.

Doogan senior was captain of the club during their foundation years and led them on their journey towards greatness. He played over 400 games, scoring and assisting a combined total of over 190 goals whilst he formed a deadly partnership up front with winger Czech Czernin.

Watezini described Doogan Sr as "the ultimate captain" and he holds the 108 year old in the highest regard.

United have strengthened for the season and at just under the midway point, find themselves clicking into gear. With 7 points in their last 4 games, Watezini's preferred formation is starting to really pay off.

New signing Henrik Barjaktarevic has made a solid start in goal, and Watezini expects there is more to come.

"With a player like Henrik, as the season goes on he will just grow between the sticks. He is a top professional and his attitude in training will help him and as him and the defence gain a better understanding our record defensively will improve greatly."

Joining Henrik, who signed for for 900,000 credits, are Deodoro Melo (800,000 credits) the Brazilian midfielder, Fedor Bredenbent (1,150,000 credits) and Aashna Tamiz (815,000 credits) really bolstering the clubs midfield and defence after the departure of Gustav Ronning and Mihalik. The latter played 221 games for the club at a solid average rating of 6.1.

The club are looking to kick on this season and secure a safe top 8 finish before searching for a push towards promotion next season. Watezini has not ruled out further transfer business:

"There may well be more ins and outs. It's an exciting time for the club and with Willoughby and Seamus (Yeoman) due to leave before the end of the season, there is always room for shuffling and there are several top players on our radar".
