Beasts fight for survival in div 6

Written 7 December 2013, 12:18

Dans Beasts are still in the race for survival after a brilliant recent run and a new signing.

Beasts are currently 8 matches unbeaten including a win against the current 2nd place and a draw with top of the league and are sitting in 11th place on 31 points with 3 games to go. The run also sees Beasts enter the top 11000 of the VIFA rank and are at their highest place for over a year. However there are teams below them within touching distance and many games in hand due to how the fixture list fell.

The recent run has been largely thanks to new MC Calle Ellesen, who has averaged 8.1 and had 2 MOTMs since he joined and done really well in linking up the defence and attack and is the Beasts best player by far.

Manager Dan Cross is happy with the progress: 'I'm delighted with the recent form. Without it we would be certainly relegated by now but we have a chance to stay up. Calle has been outstanding since he joined, I'm delighted we managed to capture him.'

Beasts have 3 games on Sunday to save themselves from relegation.
