Review of Season Two - Italy Division 4, Group 8

A good season all round.

The first team finished 3rd in the league and should have been promoted ... The supporter base is divided in opinion as to whether the Board of Directors instigated a fall-off in form in the final five or six fixtures (to avoid promotion and subsequent relegation) or whether the team itself 'bottled it'. Most expect the former, however a third place finish is excellent given a top six berth was the best to be expected pre-season.

The U23's romped to title success dropping only two points all season and were proudly crowned champions and promoted. They retain a good base to establish themselves one division higher.

With regard to the financials: It is tough.

Without a good income it is difficult in the transfer market to either sell at a profit or buy quality on the cheap. Aspirations of building the ground and the training facilities will need to be cut back and prioritized as the realization of doing both in tandem now seems overly optimistic. That said the one corner of the ground was upgraded and developments are expected to continue .. albeit at a slower pace.

End Season Two Markers

Profit/Loss: 61,000 (p)
Total Player Value: 1,019,043
Vifa Rank: #2814
Stadium Capacity: 1st XI - 1790 U23's - 490

Looking Forward to Season 3...

All players and staff have their contracts secured for the new season
A similar season to last is expected, Top 6 with hopefully a title challenge.
The youth team (it is hoped) will establish themselves in the league above.
Entering Cup Competitions for the first time may increase revenue
Further (modest) improvements to the stadium
