Peemu Tukki Football Club have been promoted to Division 4 as champions.

After a hard fought season Peemu Tukki just edged SIF FOREVER to the title by just one point. The club completed their triple promotion following their return to English football. During the past three seasons the club made significant profit and have enabled themselves to invest heavily in order to try and make their mark in Division 4.

Manager Calum said “I am absolutely delighted to be the manager of such a great club and I couldn’t ask for harder working players, they give their best no matter what. I am delighted to be promoted to the fourth tier of English football and we are busy preparing ourselves for a tough campaign.”

On a much sadder note earlier today club-captain Clarence Castelen played his final game of what has been an outstanding career. Castelen joined the club just a mere 2 seasons ago and played 66 games for the club and quickly became a club legend. Following the Division 6 promotion season, Castelen was named club-captain. Here is what Clarence had to say when he was interviewed, “Despite only joining the club 2 years ago I have enjoyed every second here. This club has a great future and will always hold a place in my heart. I would like to thank everyone who welcomed me here. I would also like to thank the manager for putting faith in me to guide the team as captain. I wish the club the best of luck in the future.” Castelen today handed the armband over to fellow defender Bjartur Aanesen.
