Final Whistle

Recovering after disastrous trainings

Written 9 January 2020, 17:08

Due to managerial neglect the team trained last week on Extreme for 3 days, leaving our players exhausted and unable to train properly for the rest of the week.
This resulted in a drop or diminished value update on Sunday for most players except for our two young superstar Pepe ( https://www.virtualmanager.com/players/13746763-pepe-villa ) and Siaaneq ( https://www.virtualmanager.com/players/13770213-siaaneq-stenholdt ), the later almost doubling in value.
This delayed by a week the plans to cash out on some of the players, or even by a month in some cases for our youngsters that were deemed not good enough for a first team challenge.

We'll also need to properly redistribute the new players on the roles, as we're lacking in the forwards compartment which leaves our forwards exhausted and not performing well in training.
The training and match tactics have been tuned to improve player happiness and reduce fatigue.

The manager received a reprimand from the Board, which also recognizes the role of the manager in bringing new talent like the club has never seen before and is hoping the next phase in the development of the club to finish in 2 week: Upgrading to PTF.
We're 20 % on getting there and for the first time the club value increased to compensate for the remaining 80%, providing we can sell them before the end of the month.
Efforts are being made to not loose value when dumping a large number of talented players on the market, this is why private auctions are being prepared for the most talented, while the older are being let go for prices under their market value, sometimes close to half price discounts.

In a press conference held after the board meeting, the manager had this to say:
"It was a stressful situation with lots of travel (more than 5K on the road, driving) and with personal problems to solve. This was a one time only situation that could not have been foreseen or prepared, and the decision was to let the default training in my absence which had unintended consequences.

We invite our fellow managers to take a look at our transfer listed players, as it is a win-win if they get a player for close to half price while also helping us to reach our long term goals. This is an accept trade-off on the short term which will allow us to compete with top clubs on the youth market in the future while also keeping an eye out for bargains on the Auctions.
One of the lates players recruted is talented 22yo ML Ludoslaw ( https://www.virtualmanager.com/players/13433768-ludoslaw-skrzypinski ).
The next short term objective is to get to 40M player value to get the bonus, after which a new sale round will begin where we hope to renew the team while reaching our next big target: PTF.
