As reported a few days ago, the last member concidered to be a part of the "main roster" of Tapponautit, the 39 years old Jose Miguel De La Cruz, has announced his retirement. He will end his long long carrer tomorrow on 11.12.2018. He gave a very brief statement, telling that this will be his last contract. He didn't comment much else, but now gave us a quick interview:

"I've been playing for a very long time and these last few season have been really hard for me physically. I've given my all for this club, and have been rewarded for it, but I feel like I can't give that much anymore. I have my birthday coming up (in 3 days) and then theres christmas, so I see this as a good time to start being with my family. I am extremely thankful for my time here, to all the players, staff memeber and the fans, and as much as I will miss this, this is the right decision."

Cruz hinted that he will hold a proper speech at his retirement ceremony, that will be held tomorrow. Before that, he still has 5 more matches planned with the club. He also just scored his 400th carrer goal (in 2093 matches), being only 1 goal away from the 2nd highest goal scorer in the club history, Atdhe Dallku, who scored 401 goals in 981 matches.
