It's been quiet for months, but we want to give an offical statement that the time is coming to an end for Tapponautit.

The club became active again after a long break on 13.5.2017 by acquirng the English defender John Mark Terry, who served as a captain and is concidered a club legend.

On 24.1.2018 the GM Tappajanautti announced "The final roster", stating all the players that will remain in the team until they decide to retire. The GM has kept his word and so far each of the players on the list have retired as a member of Tapponautit. All except one, Jose Miguel De La Cruz, who is still playing. Now also he has announced his retirement. By the time of this release, the 39 years old Argentinan midfielder #18 has played astonishing 2082 matches with the club, scoring 391 goals. Now after a very long time, La Cruz told that this will be his last contract and he will retire on 11.12.2018. With Cruz gone, the club will move into a undefined break, or possibly shut down completely. All other current players will be dealt to other clubs or released to free transfer. Words from the GM:

"We've been going on for over a year and have had huge success and amazing memories. I've worked with absolutely fantastic people who have been like family to me, and I'm ever thankful to all of them. But all things must come to an end. We have concidered this for long, but it's also been clear to us for a while now that this is the right decision. The club Tapponautit will officially become unactive on 13.12.2018. Wheter its temporary or permanent is yet to be decided. I want to thank all our fans for the incredible support from all our fans and everyone else who have supported and helped us. Thank you."

The club will hold a seremony on the eveing of the 13th, also marking the clubs 19th month of activity.
