Tapponautit are gonna take a hit on the defense department, since the Russian, #25 Igor Katko, and the Welsh, #24 Davies Jasper, (both 33 years old) have announced that they will retire as they contracts end. Katko, who had some contract problems with the team, and played a while for a another team before being aquired back to Tapponautit, has played 1123 matches with the club. He has scored 3 goals. Jasper has played 532 matches with the club, scoring 1 goal. Neither of the players had a bigger announcement, Katko made his on 24.5.2018 and Jasper 26.4.

Katko will continue on as a scout, and Jasper as a trainer, but neither will work for Tapponautit.
