On 3.4.2018 Tapponautit 31 years old Argentine midfielder #18 Jose Miguel De La Cruz did something very remarkable. In the match against Brøndby IF Masterclas (which unfortunately ended in a 0-2 loss) he put on his Tapponautit jersey for his 1055th match. This is a new record for the amount of matches played for one player in the clubs history. The former record belonged to Puntsag Ganzorig, who retired with 1054 matches played. In those 1055 matches, La Cruz has scored 147 goals. We got a short interview from him after the match:

"Its hard to celebrate after a match like this, but its still a huge milestone for me. Im very glad ive managed to help the team win so many times, and will keep doing so."

By the time this article is written, La Cruz has played 1062 (151 goals). The next one close breaking the Ganzorigs former record is the teams captain Bryan Teetaert, who currently has played 1049 matches.
