23.2.2018, a day after his 34th birthday, Tapponautit long time number 1 goalie Sani Ajuwa has retired. The Nigerian keeper #1 was acquired on the team on 22.5.2017 for the sum of 500,001 Credits, and has held the main keeper spot since then. He played 983 matches with the team, being chosen as Man of the Match 86 times. Ajuwas last match was a 3-0 (hat trick from Dallku) home vicotry against Borvang. Ajuwa also held the spot for a alternate captain for the whole time in the club, being the 1st alternate after Terry retired and Teetaert was chosen as the captain. Total carrer stats are 1407 matches and 98 MotM honors. Ajuwa in his last speech:

"Dear club, fans, and everyone, im saddened by the fact that i have to be here talking about this, but it had to come at some point. As a kid, my biggest fantasy was to guard the goal in a big and great club, and it did definitely come true. Every ball ive caught has been a honor for me. Im really thankful for the manager to let me have the first goalie spot, eventhought we have 2 other great keepers in Mnajed and Ojeda. I also owe a lot to the defenders in front of me, blocking shots and taking the ball away from the opponents in good positions. And of course the offense. Having your team score obviously relieves the pressure. And of course the fans, its euphoric to hear really loud cheering each time you stop the ball. So thank you to everyone, i couldnt have hoped for a better carrer.

GM Tappajanautti:

"We've played against teams that have unbelievable strikers who have seemed unstoppable. They have been able to break our defense. But yet we havent let in a single goal. That is thanks to you, Ajuwa. Youve been even better final lock than i hoped back when i saw you on the market. I knew back then that id get a fantastic keeper for a long time, but you beat even those expectations. I want to congratulate you from your long and exceptional carrer, and hope you all the best. Thank you."

Tapponautit forward Atdhe Dallku also had something to say to Sani:

"San, you thanked us, but we're the ones who should thank you. Its always been much easier to go on the field knowing youre in the net, and we we can lose a few balls (he says with a small laugh). Its been a great honor playing with you, and i wish it would have gone on for longer. But its great to know you made the decision thats the best for you. So thank you, you can rest calmly now, old man (with a laugh).

Ajuwa has decided to continue on as a scout, but he wont work for Tapponautit. On the goal, #3 Arturo Ojeda will take the number one goalie spot, and Sabil Mnajed will be backup.
