Tapponautit midfielder, 33 years old #36 Puntsag Ganzorig, stepped on the field on 20.2.2018 for the 1000th time in a league match wearing a Tapponautit jersey. The Mongolian has been a part of the team since the start (14.5.2017). In those 1000 matches he has scored 85 goals. Ganzorig is the first player in the history of the club to reach this milestone. The match was a away victory for the team against Moyes Boys (goal from Atdhe Dallku). We caught Ganzorig for an interview before the match.

"I havent thought about it as a number really. Its just always been a pleasure and an honor to put on this jersey and go out there to represent the club. Its kinda just now hitting me that im about to go out there for the 1000th league match. Its been a great ride."

Ganzorig will be able to hold this record possibly for a quite some time still, as the second closet player to 1000 matches is the goalkeeper Sani Ajuwa with 973, but Ajuwa has announced that he will retire before he has the chance to get to 1000. The 3rd closest is the striker Atdhe Dallku with 909.
