World Cup 2014

You might not have heard, but the World Cup is just around the corner. "The World Cup of what?", you might ask - of football, of course! :D This obviously means we need to do something special here at Virtual Manager.

On Sunday the 25th we'll open up our World Cup 2014 forum where you will have ample opportunity to discuss anything and everything World Cup related. When the forum opens up, it will appear at the top of the list of our official forums.

World Cup competition

On Sunday we'll also be starting up a World Cup competition, with prizes in the form of VM Premium and VM tickets for the winners.

The competition will take place in the World Cup forum and will headed up by our admin Bårdur in collaboration with our crew.

New rules implemented

As mentioned earlier, we now have implemented our new rule set and integrated it with our crew tools.

The new rule set has been worked out in collaboration with our crew and one of the new things about it is that all the rules of the game are now gathered in one place. This means it's now much easier than before to find, for instance, the rules about the forum, logos/banners, club and manager names.

You can find the rule set here.

Minor changes

We also had time for a number of minor changes lately. For example, we managed to squash a bug that made some managers suddenly unable to view matches. We have also added the club name in your notifications about incoming player bids, so now you'll always know who is sending you bids, even if they retract them.

In addition to that, we have implemented a number of smaller crew features, which should help to make their work more efficient.

Next week

Next week will be a short one for us, as there is a public holiday here on Thursday. We'll only be in the office Monday through Wednesday but there will probably be a short update here in the blog on Wednesday.
