Power outage at the hosting centre Thursday morning

This morning at around 4am, the power went out in the TDC hosting centre where our servers are located.

This meant that Virtualmanager, among countless other sites, went completely dark. In a situation like this, there's nothing we can do except sit back and wait for TDC technicians to fix the problem.

The hosting centre was finally able to bring our servers back up at around 11, but we had to wait for a technician to drive down to Aarhus to reboot some switches before the connection was re-established. Right now, the servers are responding slowly, and there will be temporary errors, but we're expecting it to stabilise soon.

Unfortunately, we were unable to extend the auctions that ended during the outage, since the internet connection to the servers wasn't restored until some time after they had booted back up and processed the auctions automatically.

Because of the outage, match execution is currently a few hours behind schedule, and we expect that there will be delays the rest of the day, while the servers try to catch up.

Free premium

We've now given all premium users 2 days of free premium as compensation.

Update 14:30 - contract expired players

All players who left their clubs today due to contract expiry, have now been transferred back to their owners with free 24 hour contracts.
